Trevor Johnson

Trevor Johnson is a citizen of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and graduated from Freeport High School in 1980.  During his final years he took a course and passed with honors in Advanced Technical Draftsmanship.

After graduation Trevor Johnson was recruited by the Technical Division of the Grand Bahama Port Authority where he was employed in the Building Inspection Department. This gave him wide experience, under highly qualified supervision, in the Freeport Building Code.  It has given him the experience to inspect construction work, detect faults, and appreciate and evaluate good quality work, and construction practices.

Trevor Johnson was then articled a firm of Licensed Architects, and worked in their Freeport Offices.  He was responsible for the drawings and plans of many well-known houses and commercial buildings in Freeport.

He next moved to West Germany and obtained experience working in the Architects Department of one of the major construction firms, building large apartment complexes and single family houses.  An unusual feature was the renovation and remodeling of a number of old German Castles on the Rhine, which broadened his experience of international building techniques.

Since 1985 Trevor Johnson has joined the family firm of Churchill & Jones, firstly as an Inspector checking work in the Property Management Division, at the time renovating Apartments and subsequently supervised the planning and renovation of the present office/warehouse/store complex on Queens Highway.

He has attended specialist courses as an Appraiser, and has appraised a number of residences and apartments in Freeport.  He was the Sales Director, and is now the President and a Licensed Contractor, and has acquired a depth of experience in the Freeport Market – which is the critical factor in carrying out valuations in support of Bank and Institutional Loans – it produces the knowledge of what the property is likely
